In our families, there is also a long colorful history of artists, inventors, athletes, builders who had high creativity, multiple gifts … and difficult lives. Many of our gifted family members struggled with intense mood swings. In the 1800’s these moods swings were called “a fine madness” or labeled “mad genius”. Back then there were no therapists and no medications.
